Willow: Yes. Hi. You must be Angel's handsome, yet androgynous, son. Connor: It's Connor. Willow: And the sneer's genetic. Who knew?

My Thursdays are overflowing, so that's fine. I guess they're pairing it with V instead of FlashForward ?

What day was it on last year? Was it Thursday? Or was it Wednesday? I know it's been on Tuesday before because it was up against Veronica Mars at one point. Or the other way around, really.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It was on Wednesday, iirc.

Tuesday at 9?

I think that's okay. . . I don't think I have any conflicts.

Art Crawl!!!

I am amused that the final season of Lost is premiering on Groundhog's Day.

Not javachik

Doc Jensen has a looong article talking about that. This is a fun bit from the article:

For those who've made the segue to Blu-ray, the season 5 collection includes maybe the coolest bonus feature in the history of bonus features: ''Lost University.'' You can click over to lostuniversity.org for more info — and you can check out the next issue of EW, wherein you'll find a review by fellow Lost nut (and Totally Lost takeover terrorist!) Adam B. Vary.

And then there is this, a package that would make a great holiday gift for any Lost super-fan (though if I know Lost super-fans the way I know Lost super-fans, I'm sure they've already pre-ordered one of these for themselves): ''Lost: The Complete Fifth Season Dharma Initiative Orientation Kit.''

Man, reading the article just brought home how much I've forgotten about Lost.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

We are re-watching Lost in its entirety in preparation for the new season. There's so much irony in seeing it from the beginning. It's fun. (I miss Charlie!)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Beau and I rewatched over the summer and it was actually a better experience than I was anticipating. I was dreading the bad seasons and plot holes, but it wasn't too bad seeing it all again.

The thing that hit me though is that last season does not hold up well at all when watched with all the previous seasons. Beau thought the most recent season was the worst in the series. I'm not quite willing to go that far (but I might with a bit more contemplation), but seeing how far the characters came from their introduction was sad.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Lost seasons 1-5 are Amazon's deal of the day for $72.99 (blu-ray $103 or thereabouts).
