I believe "The Black Smoke" is another entity that is separate from Jacob and his rival.Ya, the black smoke thing confuses me. Sure, the polar bears were explained. Butt never the smoke. Even Ben was like 'eh, we don't know entirely'. Is the black smoke the MIB dude?
Locke was surprised to learn that Ben was following him because his daughter told him to.That is a good point. If it was a MIB game, he would know all the players.

I was just thinking the other day that if theme tunes give a show nostalgic longevity, Lost is doomed. There's only so many times you can play a one-note theme tune for the nostalgia.

You mean watching in our respective homes and discussing here? Would be fab. Been meaning to do that for a while. Now I just have to persuade The Girl, who is a bit 'meh' about Lost, that it'll be better the second time around.
