I had an epiphany about a possible route for the show, but my brother called and I lost it. I assure you it was brilliant and earth-shattering.
Why does Eloise Hawkings know what she knows?
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

I hope this wasn't my epiphany, cuz it's not as awesome as I remember it being:
history/future is rewritten, Charlotte and Daniel don't die (which was the most of my two-glasses-of-wine-awesomeness), which on the larger scales means that the last several years of TV that we watched never happened, which is, really, not cool. Not to mention the wibbly wobbly thing of "if Daniel didn't go back and make certain things change, and they never crashed, and the freighter never came with Daniel on board, then Daniel never got caught up in the events to make them change." And we're into alternate timeline territory.
GAH. Nooooooo! This show is so cruel. SHOT. BY HIS OWN MOTHER. IN THE PAST. WHAT THE HELL, SHOW.
And, as fandom predicted eons ago, Widmore is Faraday's dad!
Man, everything is just going to shit. How the fuck are they supposed to get themselves out of this mess without the physicist?
They still explode the bomb?
Weren't there other physicists on board the sub?
Hm. Jeff Jensen, as usual, has some interesting theories. I agree with him on the fact that Faraday's behavior at the camp was really contrived unless he was, in fact, asking to get shot. Because he knew that's what had to happen. And because he knew that the other Lostaways would succeed in changing the past and bringing him back to life in an alternate timeline.
Did he know he was going to get shot? Sure, he was acting stupid, and a sane person would expect to get shot, but did he in fact know he would? I think his comment to his mother was, in the future, you know you will shoot me, and yet, you sent me back, so you could shoot me. Future!Mom knew he would get shot. But did Faraday know? Or was his brain still too swiss cheesed from the time travel?

On the contrary, that would be awesome. Or could be.
You know, PKD would have LOVED this show, truly.
It's very difficult when you're as obsessed with a show as I am with Lost, and you have to watch it with someone who's all 'meh' about it.
What happened to Roger? I had a theory (it wasn't all that interesting) about circular timey-wimey stuff regarding him, and suddenly he's disappeared.
Faraday! Noooo! *sob* I want a whole spin-off based around him, Desmond and Charlie. Oh and maybe Hurley. The crazy ones.
Did he know he was going to get shot?
My take was he had no idea he was going to get shot. Obviously, his mom never told him he'd get shot and die. Just the opposite, she and his dad!widmore did everything they could to get him back to the island so he'd be there when he needed to get shot (sacrificed?).
All Faraday knew was how the hatch was created and he was trying to prevent that creation by detonating the bomb which would have prevented the Desmond button-press and the subsequent crash of Oceanic flight something something something.
