yeah, that was part of my feeling that the ep was repetitive. I liked the ep generally, but I feel like the script needed one more round of editing. How many times did we literally hear Miles refer to the fact that his father left him as a baby?
I mean are viewers being treated as mentally deficient?
BTW, I have to say I would be creeped out touching myself as a baby. I don't think I'd want any part of that.

Maybe they are following Soap Opera rules now. Say everything at least 3 times in 3 episodes if it is important.
Hurley, you so suck at keeping secrets!
My thoughts EXACTLY! Although, maybe the thought of weighing polar bear dung will keep that secret secret.
"You know dude; Ewoks suck."
I liked the Ewoks. Lil guy using primitive weapons to beat up the mean Empire dudes.
I liked how the serial # of the door was pretty much nothing important. Just numbers.

Why do you say that? We have no idea how the guy reading them off got them.
The role of the numbers in Hurley's life are not a set of coincidences. No way can that be. They may want to hand wave it to be true now, but what has been established in the past - too much significance and "bad luck."
I loved the Ewok line - even though I liked 'em a lot. Star Wars came out when I was in college. I ditched class to get in line to see Empire. Stood in line for 2 hours doing homework. Good times....
I'm probably the only one who noticed this but the pull tab on the beer cans were wrong for 1977 - they should have been the ring tab not the current form. Stupidly nit picky I know!
I get the feeling that nothing is "just" something. It seems like everything has meaning and is intertwined.
They're drinking beer...FROM THE
FUTURE!!!!
**bom bum bommmmmmm!!!**
That reminds me how endearing I found Hurley's burbling about global warming... although it hasn't happened yet!
Who was the actor playing the character that Miles swindled (and then got his money back). He looked very familiar.
To answer my own question, I recognize him from Breaking Bad, though he's certainly had a busy career:

That was pretty amusing. Also the line about his powers being cooler than Miles's cracked me up.
Just watched and enjoyed. Miles is interesting. Hurley endearing. Juliet is a rock.
Also, you are making me feel old since I was already married for 4 years when Star Wars happened. Saw it with DH#1. Awesomeness.
