Yeah, I don't think it will take. It was a shocking image -- to see Sayid shoot a child, but when I remember who that child is, what was shocking to me was my lack of concern.

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
It won't take, but that doesn't change the fact that Sayid did it. That's hardcore.
I was watching with my friend and we were wondering aloud if they would go there. From the first scene of the episode they showed they were going there. We may have watched Sayid shoot a child, but Sayid was killing a 30 year older Ben. He just didn't do a very good job. Sayid probably doesn't know that dead doesn't happen very easily on the Island.
I love that Sayid shot Ben. It's so the obvious thing for him to try, and I don't think he's discussed time-travel paradox possibilities with anyone.
I was really worried that the burning bus was the beginning of Ben's wholesale wiping out of Dharma.
Ben survives and kills all the Dharmistas in revenge.
That makes narrative sense, but does it make sense for young!Ben? He's got the big resentment for Dharma, but the guy who just shot him is, as far as he knows, a Hostile. Depends on who finds him and what they tell him, I guess.
still can't get past the whole romantic triangle ridiculousness, setting up a scenario where we're left to wonder if people are better matched by profession (doctors with doctors, rascals with fugitives) or by hair color (blondes with blondes, brunettes with brunettes.) I expected better from the heart of craziness!
has internets at work now. Muahahahah. :)
man, what a fucking cheat: "if I take him, he'll forget any of this happened and he'll lose his innocence."
Yeah, but I'm so looking forward to the Locke/Ben showdown that looks to be in the offing next week.
man, what a fucking cheat: "if I take him, he'll forget any of this happened and he'll lose his innocence."
Boooooo, lame!
On the other hand, how hard will Sayid slap himself on the forehead when he discovers that he was responsible for creating the Ben Linus they all know and hate? READ SOME SOPHOCLES, SIR.
(Also, if Jack had just saved him, he wouldn't have lost his damn innocence.)
but it had all happened before, right? so they couldn't have changed this timeline.
further, whose to say that Jack could have saved him? they might have been up a creek and needed the Others to save him even if Jack worked on him.
After all this time wondering what Sawyer asked Kate to do for him, and wondering the past several eps what happened to Aaron.... I feel a bit let down. Kate made such a big secret out of Clementine, mysterious phonecalls, and finally "Don't ever ask me about Aaron again!"
Am getting tired of Life With Dharma and the lies to cover up lies. Time to change up the game again.
