Okay, so Ben's person on the boat. The promo for next week said "someone [we] thought [we'd] never see again," and, when telling Locke about the person, Ben considered it -- apparently -- to be such a shock that Locke might want to sit down.
Locke is pretty unshockable, generally. So whose existence, who's also someone we the viewers thought we'd never see again, would actually *shock* John Locke?
My vote is Charlie.
I'm wondering if it is John Locke himself. But - that wouldn't fit in the "person we thought we'd never see again."
I will just about die if it is Locke's dad...
I really hope that it's grown-up Walt...
But at the same time I fear that it's Micheal, mostly because if they introduce him again, he'll probably be looking for/working to keep Walt safe. Which he will proceed to explain at length, with exclamation points.
I'm sad that Waaalt.com is defunct.
How could it be Charlie? Time travel necromancy?

And, of course, HP is still in the credits.

Same way Eyepatch Guy kept not dying. I dunno -- Charlie coming back from the dead would be FAR from the most WTF thing this show has pulled.
We're only assuming he died; maybe the boat folks pulled him out of the water and rescusitated him. It would make more sense than at least half the things on this show.
it's gotta be Michael because Harold Perrinau has been in the credits since the first ep and we've still yet to see him.
For those of us who read Ask Ausiello, the appearance of Michael wouldn't be a huge surprise. I make this comment from AA columns from *last* season when HP apparently screwed the producers and writers, not this season. I know no spoilers for this season.
