Lost 2: Tied to a Tree in a Jungle of Mystery
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
The Lost Easter Egg site - huh.
I really need to rewatch tonight. I was clearly not awake enough when I watched this post-eli stone and the local news.
The Lost Easter Egg site - huh.
Huh, indeed. It seems the guy in the chair in the cabin, that Hurley saw, was Jack's dad!
I rewatched tonight and Dominic Monaghan is still listed as a regular - not a guest star.
And I still don't get why we're supposed to find it surprising that the man from the ship knew Jack's name.
That's probably for pay reasons, I'd imagine. Unless death on the island isn't really death.
I watched. I didn't have much of a clue what was going on. I'll be back next week. I'm not sure why.
Locke is the Terminator!
That made me giggle. No one can ever use that line any more without evoking Der Terminator.
Hurley made me all teary when he told Claire that Charlie was dead.
And the Blair Witch Cabin was fucked up.
Also, I continue to love Locke beyond all reason.
TOPIC!CINDY!!!!!!!
NarrAtor!!!!!!!!
It's like Minearverse all over again.
Sure -- Boone, Shannon, Charlie, Eko. Oh. Wait. I get it.
We're gonna discuss "Days of Our Lives" in here, too? (Actually, I had a "Lost" comment, but the appearance of Topic!Cindy confuzzled it right out of me.)
Get it back. Get it back. I think I'm really hooked on Lost, this time. The flash-forwards have me by the short hairs.
Oh shoot, Scott needs the P.C. (not the P-C). I'll be back later.
HOLY SHIT! Jack would have shot Locke right in front of everyone. Whoa.
I KNOW. DUDE.
I'm also impressed with the way they used Jack's lack of a beard to tell us that this flashforward is a bit earlier than last season's finale.
I wasn't entirely certain, really, until "I'm thinking about growing a beard." But, yeah, nice way to do that.
Was the 'shock' in the end that the helicopter guy used Jack's name, or did I miss something really important.
I don't think it was supposed to be a "shock" so much as: It's started.
It seems the guy in the chair in the cabin, that Hurley saw, was Jack's dad!
Whoa! I did see his name in the credits but then forgot about him!
Locke is the Terminator!
That made me giggle.
Wait, what did he say?
I think I'm really hooked on Lost, this time. The flash-forwards have me by the short hairs.
I knooooooooow. Also? I kind of love the craziness that when it first starts out, YOU DON'T KNOW WHETHER IT'S A FLASHBACK OR A FLASH-FORWARD.
I left this comment for someone on LJ, and I don't think I can sum it up any better:
They really reinvented the show with the S3 finale, didn't they?? Instead of "Will they get off the Island?" it's "HOW did they get off the Island? WHO got off the Island? AND WHAT THE MOTHERFUCKING FUCK HAPPENED TO EVERYONE ELSE?!?!?!"
Remember in the season finale flash-forward, Jack went to a funeral for, apparently, one of the rescuees? Now we know Hurley got off the island -- could the funeral have been Hurley's? It would make sense that it was unattended.
What's the secret that flashJack didn't want futureHurley to tell? I'm assuming that they made a deal to tell the world that they were the only 6 survivors of flight 815, or something like that. Because the dude who visited Hurley in the hospital -- who claimed to be from Oceanic but wasn't -- wanted to know if the rest of the castaways were still alive, right?
And what's going to happen to make Hurley regret going with Locke?
Those are all great questions. Now I'm thinking that eventually there will be an expedition led by Jack to go back to the island and stay. . . rescue the others or something.
