Lost is likely looking at less than five.
Somehow I think Lost will make the five seasons. Maybe as their numbers decline to cancellation threat levels, JJ will do one of those things where he throws out all the annoying crap and makes the show fun again. (At least for about 3 episodes or so, and then it gets annoying again.) I think I remember him doing that several times during the
Alias
run.
I was talking about TV to a friend and she said Lost sounded interesting, but she hasn't been watching all along and so doesn't understand what's going on. I had to break it to her that *I've* been watching all along and have almost no idea what's going on.
We were discussing Lost last night too, and it hit me that punching in the numbers and hitting the button is the perfect metaphor for those of us who are still watching this show.

That or the routine to get a fish biscuit.

Except you really do get a fish biscuit. You don\'t have an announcer claiming that you\'ll get a fish biscuit but giving you... I dunno.. a tattoo instead.

So does that mean if you don't watch LOST your house will implode?
Oh, damn, better hold off on deleting that TiVo season pass...
So let's see. We have
The polar bear
Walt's seeming ability to make things happen
The lostzilla/smoke monster thingie
The numbers
The Dharma initiative
Who are the Others
How can Locke now walk
What was up with Kate's airplane toy
What's the vaccine
How come Maggie saw Walt
Now there's another island?!?!
What's the deal with Des's time travelling self
What do Jack's tattoo's mean
What do Jack's tattoos say
Right?
How many of these 50 questions have been answered so far?
There's also the pirate ship. There looked to be a story behind that.
And the mummified skeletons that Jack and Kate (?) found.
Also, was Rousseau part of Dharma, the Others or a separate French expedition (and is Ben Alex's birth father)
Sun's miracle pregnancy
Charlie's prophetic dreams (which seem to have stopped until the writers need them)
How a plane from Africa crash landed on the island (probably never to be answered now that Mr. Eko is pining for the fjords)
And there are other visions (Jack's dad; Kate's horse)
