Well, maybe Kate had strawberries at her Breakfast with Ben.
(People may be sick of Jack -- but he's still very very cute when he laughs.)
Umm, is next week new?

OK, good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that clip of Locke and Charlie running away looked familiar.
I didn't catch the very last "dun dun DUN!!" moment either, but after last ep I don't expect it to be that earthshattering.
Also, the answer is neither - use real garlic. The chopped kind in the jar is especially nice for garlic bread. Mix it with soft margarine and sea salt and yum!!
This episode was mostly ridiculous. Sawyer did amuse me with his tone of voice when he said, "Shot?! Don't we get a second chance?"
I like Sun and Jin but not knowing what up with Hurley et al. is driving me craxy!! And Kate tasting like strawberries:
A) Gag-worthy fanfic parody, OR
B) Clever allusion to the strawberries present at the breakfast table with Ben?
ETA Jack looked HOT in his last scene. His eyes were so dark and starvedly-twinkling, and the lighting was bizarrely flattering.
Also just noticed that Sumi beat me to the strawberries.
Did I miss a last shock?
I think that Sun not knowing that Jin knew about her affair until he told her on the island was Sun's big surprise. I don't think that there was another one.

Well, yeah. But this is my daughter we're talking about. Haute cuisine for her is chicken nuggets from McDonald's instead of the freezer.
I'm still a little confused. Did Sun's boyfriend commit suicide after Jin visited him or did Sun's daddy have a back-up in case Jin didn't follow through? Thoughts?
I was confused on that point too. Was he holding the jewelry that he had wanted to give to Sun?
I thought that Sun knew that Jin knew and that she would think that he had killed the BF even though he hadn't. (So I was surprised and relieved to learn that she didn't know.)
Wait, Jin knows about the affair now?
I swear, why do they always say that kissing women tastes like strawberries?
Rack has ruined that line for me. And then I remembered that Drew Goddard co-wrote this episode, so maybe it wasn't a coincidence.
Perhaps it was just Sawyer gallantly joshing Kate, for something rakish and romantic-sounding to say. (Re: Strawberries)
What bugs me is that Sawyer is suddenly a fighting-ability-detecting person, when he hasn't previously exhibited much in the way of interest or ability in that area.
I was confused on that point too. Was he holding the jewelry that he had wanted to give to Sun?
Yes on that. I was actually idly wondering if Sun might have pushed him out, then decided that's too much monkey crack, even for LOST.
And Kate sucks. . . where was her capacity for mayhem?
This. SO much this. I was totally expecting (forlornly hoping?) that she'd totally surprise the woman with the gun and disarm her. I'm almost at the point of thinking that she cut a deal during one of the eleventy-million times she's been captured by the Others. Maybe that's what she and Ben discussed at breakfast (similar to him trying to convince Jack to work with them at the end).
I LOVED that Ben used the Sox winning the World Series to convince Jack they had outside access (and his skepticism was PERFECT!).
I did enjoy the episode more, but I want more of the characters. This parsing out is getting tiresome.
eta I am curious if Ben was telling the truth when he said he'd been on the island his whole life.

Yes! Absolutely priceless. Jack cracking up was wonderful, and then his expression when Ben turned on the TV was so amazed and homesick and overwhelmed.
Loved Sawyer kissing Kate, too, just for the unexpected factor, but the strawberries reference was the hugest cliche ever.
