Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I heard Kelvin.

Perhaps his partner's name was Celsius.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

It sounded like Kelvin to me as well.

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am.

Why draw an invisible map on the blast door? Why not just draw a map?

Okay, so if entering the code prevents the magnetic death ray from going off, why not automate it? Why involve a code if you can't automate it. Why build a magnetic death ray in the first place?

Why wasn't Charlie giving Claire any answers about what happened in the hatch and being so unconcerned with Locke and Eko possibly being dead?

What the hell are the Others up to? They pretend to be savages, but they're not. Not!Henry lies to Locke about not pushing the button. Why? Did he want magnetic death ray to go off? If so, why not just let it. Or why not take the Others in when Desmond was the only one there, kill him, smash the computer, take the key and go. If they don't want the death ray to go off, why tell Locke the button doesn't do anything?

I'm starting to agree with Corwood, but not just about the Losties, but everyone on that island and involved with that Island is fundamentally stupid. Maybe the magical magnet sucks IQ points away.

This was my question as well! And I thought that's what Desmond was going to ask, but no.

Why wasn't Charlie giving Claire any answers about what happened in the hatch and being so unconcerned with Locke and Eko possibly being dead?

Because Charlie sucks.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Anyone else want to weigh in on Calvin vs. Kelvin?

One of them has a stuffed tiger?

Did they show the Others after Desmond's big bang? I'm remembering their reaction by the lack thereof - that is, they didn't seem fazed at all - but I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly.

Also, I really liked Terry O'Quinn's delivery of "They're not my friends." Nice and brutal.

For what it's worth:

David Hume

Jean-Jacques Rousseau

John Locke

That's all the philosophers I think they've referenced. Or, at least, all the obvious ones I can recall.

Sometimes evil drives a minivan.

Because Charlie has been injecting himself with the Dharma vaccination, which I'm thinking is a mild sedative. Or stoopid-making drug.

They seemed distinctly unconcerned.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My theory is that the Others are actually Frontender extras who got so tired of everyone else's bullshit that they built a raft and sailed around to the other end of the island, and are now enjoying the hell out of fucking with the characters with names in between trips to the hotel bar.
