The ending of this year in Lost blows the ending of last season out of the water.
Considering how much last season's finale was hyped as a big exciting revelation with development in all the plotlines, and what actually aired instead, I suspect the word blows is going to be the most relevant from JJ's little blurb.
The penultimate episode last season was pretty great. All that I can recall happening of note in the finale was Walt being grabbed.
And Walt's absence ended up fading until recently.

Can they promise it won't suck?
Some things are beyond the powers of network programmers... deciding that some programs can run over their time slots by two or three minutes, OK, cancelling really good shows after jerking them all over the schedule, check. But making sure that their shows don't suck? Impossible!
