I can handwave that (maybe the first time they flew together, he said "here, hold my ring, my fingers always swell up when I fly") *much* more easily than I can Bernard ending up belted into a seat in the tail section when they crashed.
Lost 2: Tied to a Tree in a Jungle of Mystery
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Whereas I just figured that he came out of the rear bathroom when the trouble/turbulence started, took the nearest empty seat, and never got a chance to make it back up to Rose.
Maybe Rose is so sweet that a stewardess comped her up to an empty first class seat so she could stretch out? :-)
So, Sawyer squishes helpless little tree frogs, but feeds Vincent his own food?
No -- that's what he uses the squished tree frogs for.
I didn't recognize Wayne P out of makeup!
well, I assume they flew to Niagra Falls, maybe took other trips together, and flew to Australia. Perhaps enough to give her the authority to say "always." ????
Whereas I'm assuming that the writers didn't decide they were newlyweds until recently. ;)
I'm with Jon - they only just decided that they were newlyweds.
I don't know that they planned on bringing in Bernard until people responded so well to Rose.

I had a brief flash of recognition, thought it was Captain Picard, and then just decided I didn't know him! But it was Scorpius!
I only recognized him because his name was in the opening credits. (Real face + real accent = unrecognizable!)

But I don't think she and Jack were in first class. There was enough of the front of the plane that they had to go find in the jungle in the pilot, that it had to have contained all of first class, and then some. Or Oceanic has the largest first class sections of any airline.
I didn't recognize Wayne P out of makeup!
I did, but I've seen him in interviews, and he does look a lot like a young Patrick Stewart.
Lost: The ARG, coming soon?
ABC, Channel 4 Television in the U.K, and Australia Channel 7 will launch the “Lost Experience,” a revolutionary interactive experience based on the international hit television series, “Lost”. Working together, more than 30 broadcasters from Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East will release clues with new information regarding the mystery and mythology of the island featured in the series. Fans looking to solve the puzzle will find audio, video, and text clues in locations around the world, along with an online community in which to connect and collaborate with others. The terms "Lost" and "Alternative Reality" and "Game" send me to a very scary, X-Filesque place.
