OK! I give in!
Here's some useful news from the AP:
April 10,2006 | -- A published report says the Disney Company plans to start making some of its most popular programming available free on the Internet.
The Wall Street Journal says shows like "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost" would be available on a revamped Web site the morning after they air. The report says shows would be archived so viewers can eventually watch an entire season of shows from outlets including ABC and Disney Channel.
New technology would be aimed at preventing viewers from fast-forwarding through commercials, in an effort to keep advertisers happy.

He relished the improbability of the love affair between his character and Shannon (Maggie Grace), a self-absorbed American blonde, which he'd suggested to producers.
"I said, 'Wouldn't it be crazy if your Iraqi from the Republican Guard has a relationship with somebody who looks like Miss America?"' he recalled. "If they'd met any other way, there's no way anything would have come of it."
The romance was cut short when Shannon was accidentally shot to death, becoming one of a several characters killed off on "Lost."
Andrews called her death "brutal and completely unnecessary. I fail to understand, actually, why they feel this need to get rid of people."
I had been assuming that the "deck" was on a boat. Was anything said to indicate whether it was a land or boat deck?
For some reason, I heard "dock", so I pictured them falling into water.
Andrews called her death "brutal and completely unnecessary. I fail to understand, actually, why they feel this need to get rid of people."
I agree with that. I know Shannon was hardly a favorite, but I think she added to the show, and I enjoyed thinking about just what Naveen said--the improbability of Sayid and Shannon together. I was more interested in her that I have been in Ana-Lucia, Libby, or Claire.
I fail to understand, actually, why they feel this need to get rid of people."
Because it makes for GREAT STORY Naveen! It puts everybody in jeopardy.
Sean, I agree with you in general, but specifically do you think the story got better with Shannon off the canvas and Ana-Lucia on?
do you think the story got better with Shannon off the canvas and Ana-Lucia on?
Not Sean, but yes. Shannon was an emotional void for me, and wasn't given anything plot-advancing to do. Ana Lucia has friction, at least two facets, and agency.
What do you see as her facets? I don't get what you mean by agency.
Shannon really was a void. I thought her acting skill was limited and she didn't add very much to the show. I actually thought Boone had more dramatic possibilities, but they did him in first.
