Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Maybe Condi's view is that it all depends on what the meaning of "is" is?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

The Kristen invented that word (certainly, she was the first person I saw use it).

Alas, I'm pretty sure squick has a long and distinguished history.

Edit:

The term squick was introduced in the Usenet newsgroup alt.sex.bondage in the early 1990s to refer to an otherwise unremarkable act that crossed someone's personal boundaries in an extreme fashion

What is even happening?

The term squick was introduced in the Usenet newsgroup alt.sex.bondage in the early 1990s to refer to an otherwise unremarkable act that crossed someone's personal boundaries in an extreme fashion
What? Like The Kristen still couldn't have introduced it?

ION, it looks like Condi's speeches in Europe aren't going over entirely well.

Did anyone else read "Condi's" as "Cordi's"?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

but that's why they need to be TAUGHT NOT TO DO IT, not just forgiven.

Wait, what? Are you saying the purpose of schooling is to learn stuff you don't already know??

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'd really feel sorry for Cordi if she had to go to Europe to explain our policies on questioning terrorist suspects....

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I suspect that Cordy would do a better job of it. But then again, I suspect that the nation would be a whole lot better off if GWB had her as one of the two or three people he talks to.

Sad, yet true.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Portland Man's latest trick:

Back when I sent him these files to post on a website, he suggested creating PDFs out of the Word docs. I said sure, fine, I understand the principle, but I don't have Acrobat. He said, oh, I'll convert them for you.

Today, he e-mails me to tell me that the latest version of the files has been posted. And suggests that if I'm going to keep upating the files, I might want to consider purchasing Acrobat and just sending him the PDFs.
