The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Is anyone still up?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yay.

People go to bed too early. Silly morning people.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Posts on LJ yesterday inspired (that's a big word for a little thing) me to make a playlist of cover songs.

My cover song playlist has 173 songs. I could give you a list if I can figure out how.

I want one of those alarm watches, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to wear it due to metal allergies. I guess I'll have to settle for someone bring me a warm cup of something then. Do I get to pick who makes that delivery?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I skipped hugely but meara'd what I skimmed.

I finally met Emeline! Brazilian dinner (con plantains) with Aimée, and I got to see the wee little girl. Hold her, even.
ita with the cute wees is pretty cute. Not pink gingham cute though. Damn, now I want to go see Em again and be amused for hours.
OK, I'm probably the only person who watches Las Vegas, but did they REALLY [...]
Oh, they really... But since I watch for my tv!crush on Vanessa Marcil, I wasn't really affected.
Naughty priest Vaughn was the best thing evah.
Ever ever ever!
Just watched this week's GA. Do they give Emmy's for show most likely to break you?
It'll get my vote.
Do I get to pick who makes that delivery?
With this feature, I might not cringe at mornings so much.

There is a cat sleeping next to / on me. I want to get up but she's being kinda cute. It'sa quandry.

What is even happening?

Hey! Check out the current top story in the Apple.com start page: [link] "New Oxford American Dictionary Word of the Year: “Podcast”"
Full story at Mac Daily News: Oxford American Dictionary announces Word of the Year: 'Podcast'

Did you all look at the runners up? Squick made it. As far as I know, The Kristen invented that word (certainly, she was the first person I saw use it). From the above article's list of runners up:

• squick (cause immediate and thorough revulsion: "was anyone else squicked by our waiter's piercings?")

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I saw the "podcast" cite at the Mac homepage, which made me smile and smile -- good way to start the day!

NPR makes most of their programs available as podcasts -- I'm subscribed to the Science Friday ones. Listened to a bunch I hadn't gotten around to this past weekend when I was driving to and from NJ....

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Quality-wise, a lot of podcasts sound like they were recorded in a metal trash can in someone's basement. But content-wise, there are some good ones out there. And the anarchist in me loves the Pump Up the Volume-ness of podcasts. Subverting The Man. (Er -- sort of. I mean, when they're available on the iTunes website, how subversive can they be? And yet, I maintain that they are, b/c they're commercial-free and the content is dictated only by the podcaster, not any corporation.)

Always Anti-fascist!

I think I like Allyson's finger-removal suggestion for baby's first Plagiarist. Considering taking the time to spread the rumor she has crabs might affect my productivity adversely. (My words are mine. Anyway the non-derivative ones are.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Eureka teaser (yousendit link).
