I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

That storyline has been amusing me all week.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't wait to see how that plays out. I haven't read Boondocks daily in forever, but my sisters negro/homo-radar mailing list made sure I knew about it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did any of you see the fabulous Boondocks strip on Brokeback Mountain?

Yeah, it's had me snickering. I'm curious to see if Grandpa will come out crying, after all the shock and outrage.

But without the slounge. It doesn't seem fair.

You, too, can learn how to slounge! Just call 1-800-SLO-UNGE and I'll send you a free tape. You'll be defying gravity in 20 minutes or less, I guarantee it!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I try to slounge, but all I end up with is a flop.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just got my review from my boss (we're talking it over in a few minutes). Looks much better than last year's, and I'm hoping that the one big ding on it (my lack of ongoing training) will be corrected when I tell her that I'm applying to the U of Illinois MLS Online program to start next fall (her boss, the one in charge of the money, already told me that if I wanted to pursue it, he'd approve reimbursement).

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Yay, Kathy!!!! That's fantastic!

A day after sending a threatening email about the use of strings of lights, the head of facilities and the other crazy people on this floor are banging and clattering out in the hall, hanging lights.

And the loud talking lady is out there fretting about how to arrange stuff. I swear, she must be partially deaf, because no one needs to talk that loudly.

Yay, another season of work parties to avoid.
