Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Okay, not much came from it, but I felt better.

Did your doctor treat you better the next time?

Well, since I was writing about how poorly I'd felt I was being treated by her office staff and that I felt my time had been wasted by not one but two appointments at which nothing happened, I actually went ahead and got another specialist. But my PCP said the doctor in question had felt just awful about it!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson, is it a group practice? Can you switch doctors? DH did this--and made sure to tell the doctor why he was switching.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

the academics who should have been its natural allies

Strange definition of "allies", there.

Can you switch doctors?

Yep! I was on hold for awhile but it turns out that yes, I can switch doctors and if I'd like to file a complaint, I can do so by phone, writing, or in person. I choose in person.

I'm mad at myself for being too discombulated to say anything at the time it was happening.

That got me, too. Which academics are the natural allies of ID? The ones that don't rely on scientific facts?

In person's good. You might want to have a paper version that they can put on file as well, if you don't mind the duplicated effort.

Maybe it means particularly those academics who wanted a middle ground between creationism and evolution?

Don't be. Most people feel vulnerable if they're in the doctor's office. Half the time they're naked and upset and don't feel like they can complain.

I'm glad you can switch--definitely make sure they know why, in no uncertain terms.
