I think the heaviest part of the snow isn't even supposed to happen until the overnight hours. It's very strange.

information libertarian

It's the anniversary of our biggest ice storm ever (responsible for the conception of my daughter, among other things) and they're predicting "wintry mix" tonight. We'll see.

Also, I had lunch with Stephanie and Ellie! She is SO WEE.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

One good thing about it being cold here right now: I don't have to hear about "wintry mix"!! I don't know why I hate that phrase so much. I mean, I hate the phrase more than the actual stuff, and the actuall stuff is TERRIBLE.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

(responsible for the conception of my daughter, among other things)

And the loss of my dogwood tree and my car door handle. Yours is much more fun.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I don't have to hear about "wintry mix"!! I don't know why I hate that phrase so much.

Because it sounds like it should be a yummy snack food, like Chex mix, instead of annoying precipitation?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Wintry mix" is worse than "thorms."

Ann, that's a ferret.

I think the heaviest part of the snow isn't even supposed to happen until the overnight hours.

We should be home from work by 6. So as long as it waits until 7 to get bad.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The wintery part of our mix isn't supposed to show until 10pm. As long as it's not tons of freezing rain I'll be happy. Snow? No problem.

sarameg - Dec 05, 2005 9:08:20 am PST #9429 of 10006

Fred, that's pretty much my attitude as well. Except mine is "get home, take the trash out and get the @!(*&#!! snow shovel out of the trunk." Really, I'll be shocked if we actually get half a foot.

flea wins.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I always think "wintry mix" should mean frozen margaritas falling from the sky. But it never is...
