Natter 40: The Nice One

I hope it was a good one.
It was lovely, and thanks everyone for the wishes! In the spirit of Nilly's friend who celebrates the whole period between her civil and Hebrew calendar birthdays, I managed to spread the whole thing out over several days -- yummy dinner on Friday, coworker's birthday party at her absolutely wonderful designed-it-herself house on Saturday, slounging and yummy lunch and basketball-watching on Sunday.
Loot included this: [link] and this: [link] and this: [link]
TiVo cut off the last 15 seconds of the basketball game, and exciting stuff happened.
I missed amych's birthday too! And perhaps a lot more, as I have not been able to be even near an internet in days! I have been working on a show and making [link] this fatsuit (which is placed a bit high on the actor, but still look pretty good.
I did catch that Jesse is quitting her job! Yay Jesse!
Ooh, Weatherbug just updated: it is no up to 4 degrees F.. Whoo. And hoo.
sara, sorry it is a yicky Monday. I am not prepared for the shock of snow when I arrive back home tonight. Also not prepared for going to the office tomorrow.
Today I will make peanut butter cookies for my Grandmother, mail a bunch of stuff out, watch another Eyes episode, pack, fly home.
msbelle, we're supposed to get another, bigger snowstorm tonight. Make sure you call ahead before you leave for the airport.

Thanks Tom, will do. So add to my list for today, get to play a game of "will LGA be open" - it's a great winter game.
Yay quitting! I think next Thursday will be my last day, but I might not come in on Monday, as I have two big papers due next Tuesday and Wednesday and it's just possible they won't be done by then.
Maybe you need to buy one now, for future use?
If I were to go shopping now, which I'M NOT DOING, I would certainly look for one now, as they are (as seen in that link) on sale. But I'm not going shopping. Except somehow I have to figure out what to give everyone for Christmas, and I have no idea, and UGH.
Actually, is Theo (or other Somerville local, but I think she's the closest) around? She could do me a huge favor if she could get me the phone number for the Tango school on Highland Ave.
ita, you have a lovely skull.
I like skulls.
amych, yay for a birth-few-days!
Also, each one of these books looks interesting. The only things I know about comics come from "Kavalier and Clay", and I'm curious about the differences in cookbooks from both sides of the ocean, and, well, the third one's a clasic, right?
msbelle, I hope you have yummy cookies and a safe flight home.
which I'M NOT DOING
You're strong. You can (not) do it.
I like skulls.
Me too. A skull is where I keep my brain.
(OK, that was funny in
my
skull....)
