Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I didn't need ita's link to know Neil Gaiman's hot. (And he's Guest of Honor at Balticon this coming May)

well, car didn't start this morning, and we don't have jumper cables. Therefore, I am waiting for AAA's battery truck to arrive.(You learn something new every day. I didn't know they had a service that brought batteries out to cars needing them. Though it does make some sense...)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My AAA never brought me batteries! They did jumpstart though, and that's all I needed the times I had to use them.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We had a friend who had fainting goats. You could sneak into the barn and then clap your hands and they would all topple over. He wasn't evil, so you could only do the "falling goat surprise" once a day and the rest of the time one had to be careful not to startle them. But they were hiLARious.

I don't think it's actually possible to backtrack far enough for it to make sense.

That, I believe.

LUSTY AND CLEAR FROM THE GOATHERD'S THROAT HEARD LAY EE ODL LAY EE ODL-OO

Sorry about the car troubles Sheryl.

Back from 9am soccer game. Lovely perfect day. The park is having some groundbreaking thing and they have tents set up with food, and music, games and activities for the kids, and a clown. I sent the kids over, but I'm too tired to bother. I may stumble across the street later.

Hawaii in the news today:

Michelle Rodriguez and some other Lost actress got picked up for DUI. [link] The Pali Highway is pretty narrow and windy - at least they didn't crash.

Kilauea Volcano has been making new land on the Big Island in a continuous eruption since 1983. A 44 acre lava shelf sloughed off into the ocean this week, leaving a 60 ft seacliff and a six-foot diameter firehose of lava pouring out. [link] Cool. t eta More cool lava pictures here: [link]

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Remember my day yesterday? It ended with me walking into a glass door. My nose is killing me.

On the upside, Mr. Daisy apologized, so that was nice.

Also as linked in Minearverse Obey the Dachshund!

Our wings are not tired.

Ouch. Gentle kiss on Daisy's nose.

Wow, beautiful lava picture. I had seen the DUI news in the Lost thread. Chicks need a designated driver because I like both the characters.

Ah, I haven't been watching Lost, so haven't been in the thread. I edited my previous post to include more fantastic lava pictures. Check it out!

Our wings are not tired.

Shiny! They look so unreal and other worldly. There's a person in this one! [link] Isn't it a bit warm?

I've never been to Hawaii. The only volcano I've seen was in Ecuador and the elevation was so high that it was cold. There were just puffs of steam, no lava.
