Natter 40: The Nice One
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm guessing not that many people love their faces (and can we really trust those who do? I mean, c'mon) but I don't see what your reluctance is, Kat.
I think the reluctance is around the incredibly broken out skin and my otherwise baggy eyed face.
My other ish is conning a kid to be invovled in the picture.
OH! My computer! The one that had all the classroom pictures? Being sent back to the mothership cause of a crappy CD drive. sarameg, I wasn't on CRACK about it not working because I was the fourth person in the past week who took the computer to our IT guy (who's name is Bruce Lee, I shit you not), with a complaint. I'm thinking we got a bad batch.
They were going to give me a replacement laptop, but instead, I convinced them to load my gradebook onto the powerbook, which I love more than is healthy. AND I had already backed up all my docs on this one before I took it up there.
Ahem. Anyhow, the laptop that is being sent away has all my classroom photos on it. Oops.
I should, but since I have to be at work at 8:15 at the latest, it's unlikely.
See, my big project today was to call hurricane victims today, see what's up and whether the things that are supposed to happen are happening. We're only supposed to ask the questions on our scripts etc. I am so the wrong person for this job, in between being pissed off at people who are being taken advantage of, hearing people say they don't think there's a place for them anymore, and that they think people have just forgotten about them, I'm thinking (selfish person that I am) there but for a block and a half go my friends and family. I got through about 20 of the 50 or so on my list before I had to be alone for a bit.
Also, DJ, I think you should go have a nice giant warm Belgian Brownie that's all melty in the middle. I'm sorry for the suckass day.
Oh, also -- Kat is someone whose pictures are pleasing. At least to me.
Much like Allyson's pictures are.
However, they both should control dissemination of their pictures as they please.
MWAH! I love Steph.
I don't mind my picture, conceptually. It's the practicality of it all that's overwhleming.
And, you know what, I don't really get paid to be on the advisory board. But I do get a nice expenses paid trip to NY in may.
Allyson should at least come for a visit (free room with me - hint hint nudge nudge).
I am in Waco, TX. I will be here all day tomorrow working. Turns out I am the only vendor here at this meeting thingy (for reference, the last one I was at had maybe 20). Good lord. So today I was sent out to enjoy the day instead of hanging aboot. I went shopping in little local stores(http://www.shopsofriversquarecenter.com). I found a bunch of furntiture that I am in love with, but I didn't buy it.
Sunday I have a family wedding to attend and then hang with my grandmother. Monday is also weekend for me and more grandma time and probably baking cookies.
The fact that King Kong uses music that sounds exactly like the music from The Mission is wigging me out, bug time.
bug time. hee.
I think they have something like that up at Whole Foods, but I'm unwilling to brave Greenville Ave. traffic on a Friday night. I was seriously willing to walk the .7 miles up to Billiard Bar for Rock Star Karaoke rather than drive it with the drunk college kids 2 weeks before finals.
Kat haven't you linked to some work pics in LJ? would any of those work?
Plei is the one who started the "bug time." I'm just saying.
I kinda want to get Mr. And Mrs. Smith on DVD just for the hotness that is Brad Pitt.
I'm shallow.
Kat and Allyson both look great in pics. If they think they look like ass, well they must be HOTT in real life.
DJ, I'm sorry about the suckass day.
I should have made plans to go out b/c I am just sitting home becoming schmoopy. I should probably start cleaning, because at least then I'll feel like I've done something with my night.
