I'm glad I'm not actually sick (AND WON'T BE), but as soon as I got to work, two different people basically told me I look like shit. Thanks!

So much for that. Just got the call and have to go in after all.
Also, UPS is holding my iPod hostage.

Hi everyone. I'm excited because today we get to start listening to Christmas music! Also, the weather is actually kind of cold and not muggy and in the 60s like it's been for the past two days, so that makes me happy.
Question: I'm filling out YET ANOTHER financial aid form, this one for the loan that I've already been notified I'm getting, and they ask for two references with two different addresses. So I'm putting my dad for one, but I can't put my mom for the other because of the whole living-together thing, so I'm not sure who else to put down. Should it be someone who would actually have a clue about my fiscal responsibility, like my landlord or something? I mean, I could just put down a friend's address, but I'm not sure if that's the best idea.

Me too! You should not sweat in December when wearing a light jacket outside.
And I think putting a friend down is fine. I've been using friends for references on that stuff for a while now, and I don't think any of them have ever been contacted.

On the notice they left, they've indicated that they need to deliver it IN PERSON.
What? Huh? What?
I don't think any of them have ever been contacted.
OK, that's good to know. I guess I'll put my former roommate, since she's pretty responsible and knows that I pay bills on time and stuff. Thanks!
Since it's a government-guaranteed loan (right?), I think the references are just so they can find you in case you disappear.
Makes sense, tommy.
Can hot apple cider be made with just one of those pluggy inny kettle things? I'm thinking about getting some to make for the office in the next weeks since we'll be working late and I'd rather it felt homey and nice to be here instead of a place we're forced to be.
If it won't work with my kettle is there another office friendly way to have apple cider? Any other suggestions for warm holiday drink/treats.
