Maybe there are folks from the SciFi Channel who lurk and will see this:
When giant scorpions walked the earth
Tracks found in Scotland look to be from an ancient water scorpion as big as a kitchen table. If the analysis is right, it is the first evidence of the creature coming ashore.
The scorpion, a six-legged thing called Hibbertopterus, was about 5 feet (1.5 meters) long and 3 feet (1 meter) wide. It is long since extinct.
There is a drawing. It's a freakish-looking thing....
I can think of a handful of slashers who would deny Actual Queers equal rights.
I even know at least one gay Republican....
I'll note that the Vatican spoke of "supporting the gay culture," not "supporting civil rights for gays." So it can be argued that discussing HoYay! with anything other than complete and utter disapproval would apply.
Y'know, I can think of a handful of slashers who would deny Actual Queers equal rights.
They're Not Gay, They Just Love Each Other?
shrift, I think you need to respond calmly with I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Aw, too late. I just got off a conference call with them.
I even know at least one gay Republican....
I don't get that. If a political party had denying me rights as part of it's platform, I'd become a single issue voter.

I didn't think exoskeleton type critters could get that big. Not out of water anyway.
Unrelated to either gay rights or the Vatican, Gregory Peck's Walk of Fame star has been stolen:
Nov 30, 2005 — LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Gregory Peck's star has gone missing, believed stolen, from the Hollywood Walk of Fame by someone in possession of a cement saw and "very good taste," Hollywood's honorary mayor Johnny Grant said on Wednesday.
Grant, the former radio and TV star who is now chairman of the Hollywood Historic Trust, said the world famous pink star set in a black square that has honored Peck for more than 40 years had disappeared sometime in the last two weeks.
"It was somebody who knew how to use a cement saw and was probably dressed as a construction worker," Grant said. "Whoever it was had very good taste."
eck's star is the fourth to be stolen since the Walk of Fame honoring film, TV and radio celebrities was begun along a stretch of Hollywood Boulevard in 1960.
The stars of Gene Autry, Jimmy Stewart and Kirk Douglas all disappeared during construction projects years ago.
I don't get that. If a political party had denying me rights as part of it's platform, I'd become a single issue voter.
Well, maybe for some folk, civil rights aren't as important as tax cuts. Or maybe they're self-loathing gays.
Actual Queers have a habit of not picking out the kind of curtains you want them to, unlike fictional character queers.
This just makes me wonder why more characters in domestic slashy fics don't choose blinds or Roman shades.
I don't get that. If a political party had denying me rights as part of it's platform, I'd become a single issue voter.
I think for many people a political party is like a religion. You may disagree with some of the stuff they're saying, but you don't leave because of it, you try to change it. Until enough of the stuff becomes bad enough, and maybe then, but people can have really high standards of what's offensive enough when it comes to a group they really identify with.
Did that make sense? My cat-induced lack of sleep is really catching up with me.
