The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

How was the review, Perkins?

Pretty good.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is V (of the Vendetta) a terrorist?

Without following the link (because it's after midnight on this coast and I really should be going to bed), I kind of thought that was the premise of the book. I didn't realize it was a controversial statement.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's been a year, Perk? Cool!

I didn't realize it was a controversial statement.

The article starts with the premise that more Americans think it's terrorism after 9/11 than did before. And not that many to whom he'd taught it had thought so. I'm assuming that the Brits always knew, but am surprised at the idea that significant # of folk (hi Hec!) were really not getting it.

I guess it's naive of me to think that that guy doesn't encounter a lot of discussion about whether V is a terrorist because the answer is, "Of course." He's not just out to overthrow this particular nasty government; he's an anarchist. The happy ending is chaos, not reform.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay Perkins!

But if it drives me apeshit that there's a teacup, plate, fork, and spoon in the sink before I go to bed? That shit's on me.

Have I got the guy for you! Too bad he lives in New York. Literally can not sleep with a plate in the sink.

Interesting. Makes me wish I'd read it before 9/11, so I could compare.

ION, did we know that it is possible to get custom M&Ms? We should get "Too Much Candy" and "WWBD?" for the next F2F.

Did you ever sneak out of bed in the night and put a plate in the sink?

::checks::

Yeah, still single.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Pretty good.
Pretty YAY!

Nope. I guess they do them all in December. I'm even going to get raise, but not until Febuary.
