Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I still don't have a good enough intuition for temperatures converting, though.

When I lived in France, I got fluent enough at thinking in metric that I was able to handle all the length, weight, and volume stuff without having to consciously convert back and forth. I never got temperature conversion to feel similarly natural beyond having a few good reference points from which to approximate (i.e., the weather is more than room temp but less than body temp...). I think it's the lack of a common zero point.

So, Canadians, should be some fun times tonight, huh? God damn, I wish we had the no-con in the US.

gha! it's only been 17 months since the last federal election, and this stupid non-confidence motion has negated 6 months of negotiations for an agreement between my province and the Feds. GHA!

(it's interested though!) t /wonk

Then I'm in good company.

I think it's the lack of a common zero point.

I think that makes a lot of sense. It keeps throwing me off, because I'm so used to lean on the zero point and what it means in Celsius (water freeze).

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm wearing makeup! I'm cute again!

Also, coughing and sneezing. So not as cute as if I weren't coughing and sneezing.

I'm cute again!

I've seen you without makeup and you were cute then. I think you meant to say "I'm cuter now!". Which is also true. Also, how was the vacation, and why was it makeup-less?

Oh, and feel better. I'm with Jesse with the decree that everybody should be healthy.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Nonsense! They carry Swiss Army knives! Big ones! The Tick would never lie.

But Steph, the Swiss Industrial Spies' actions in no way reflect those of the government of Switzerland.

Oh, Tom. Poor, deluded Tom. That's what they WANT you to think....

Now tagless for your comfort.

How much do I love my DH? I'll tell you--he's the lucky guy who's getting a Razr phone for Christmas. I don't have a Razr phone. *sigh* I still want one but I've heard they're going to be coming out with a pink one, so I'm holding out for that.

I think you meant to say "I'm cuter now!". Which is also true.

My thoughts, exactly!

Currently I'm doing a 9000-pieces puzzle

Shiver in jigsaw-envy. Any flat surface I have control over gets swamped with stuff, plus cats think I need their help, which generally means chewing on pieces so I can find them easily. Puzzle caddies never work right.

Always Anti-fascist!

I can't do those... I have a learning disability that makes that nsm relaxing as like a stay in Guantanamo, but I always admire the big ones...I'm just not good at visually getting where the small parts make wholes.
