'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I still think tommyrot should just be put in charge of all programming at the Sci Fi channel.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I still think tommyrot should just be put in charge of all programming at the Sci Fi channel.

Hee hee!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Nonsense! They carry Swiss Army knives! Big ones! The Tick would never lie.

But Steph, the Swiss Industrial Spies' actions in no way reflect those of the government of Switzerland.

Coding and Sleeping

Here's the book I'm currently reading:

I think it's pretty good. I was looking for something about cosmology that deals with accelerating expansion of the Universe and this really doesn't hit that mark, but is still pretty interesting. I had covered a lot of the quantum stuff back in college in a lot more detail, but I forget just how weird it is.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Congrats, Jesse! Could you say something to your boss like, "I'm happy to stay on for two weeks while you find a replacement--do you have anyone lined up?" or something? Offer the two weeks so he knows you're not leaving him in the lurch, but also give him the chance to tell you that he's already hired your replacement, and thus let you leave.

Meanwhile, I have THREE WEEKS left at my job, and it is kinda weird. I have a ton of schoolwork to get through in that time, so it's gonna be a whirlwind few weeks until the 17th (last day of class), and then nothing until Feb. 2nd, when my next semester starts. I got my financial aid package, and it'll cover my living expenses, so I don't even need to get a job. I'll try to pick up some freelance editorial work, but otherwise I've got nothing to do for a month and a half. woo!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

ita, that reminds me to pitch Colin to Popgurls.

Also, cough. sniffle. cough

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's AWESOME, Kate.

NOBODY IS SICK. I decree it.

Swouncing

Thanks for the Peeps links! That's the new thing I learned today, and it's far more fun than anything that was mentioned in the lecture I had to listen to in the morning.

Also, Jesse, I Yayed you in my previous post's Edit, and I pretty much said what Kate just said.

otherwise I've got nothing to do for a month and a half. woo!

To me, this means: a 9000-at-least-pieces jigsaw puzzle. But, yay, Kate! Do you have anything specific you want to do in that time, other than the obvious relaxing you deserve?

Jesse - Nov 28, 2005 5:49:40 am PST #7316 of 10006
Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, Nilly, I was thinking of you over the weekend while trying to do a jigsaw puzzle.
