Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hi Nilly!

I can't sleep. I'm watching a storm approach on radar. It just got close enough for me to see and hear thunder.

Maybe the rain will lull me to sleep.

Hi Nilly! I've been up for a few hours now trying to write an essay that's due this afternoon, but that I forgot to start before this morning. I've already had three cups of tea. I don't want to think about how many I'll have had by the time I get this finished.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Maybe the rain will lull me to sleep.
This is one of my favorite ways to fall asleep.

I wasn't ignoring you - I had to go to a lecture.

I hope all of you are asleep, other than Jars, whom I hope is not only wide awake but also progressing well with the paper.

[Edit: and other than the 7+3=2*5 which it is hugging]

::waves at Herah::

I went to sleep at about 10:30, and woke up at 5:30, so I suppose I should just be grateful that I got a solid seven hours worth of sleep....

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I would be, Theodosia.

Oh, poor Perkins! ::patpats::

I know from extensive experience that a hot shower = 2 hours sleep if you're desperate. I'm achey from yoga yesterday, but otherwise OK.

It never works for me. It only makes me more sleepy. But it's a price I'm willing to pay, since it feels so good.

[Edit: it also feels good that 2+5=7]

Hot showers are very good. I think I might be able to go back to sleep in a bit, which would be even better.

I'm glad you're feeling okay, other than the achy.

If a hot shower makes you sleepy, even better.

Me, I'm debating on taking aspirin or whatnot. I hate to start out the work week by taking painkillers but I'd be a sight more enthusiastic about my day if I did....
