Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Peace and strength to Aimee and family.

Going back for a second, since I'm taking notes, um what now? On the +/- day on the remote? I got all the other stuff, and I too found the PiP buttons by accident rather than by experiment. But I find myself urgently curious about +/- day.

You can't live your whole life beholden to batteries, bon.

She could get a solar calculator.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

On the DVR remote there's two buttons marked "day". They are used when you're in the guide to go forward or backward 24 hours.

You can't live your whole life beholden to batteries, bon.

There are few occasions when I need to do multiplication and I don't at least have my phone and/or blackberry handy. Or a computer! I can't remember the last time I did multiplication on paper.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You people are all crazy. This is what calculators are FOR.

You're crazy. That's what the calculator application on your computer is for.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

She could get a solar calculator.

You can't live your whole life beholden to the sun, Gud.

Oh, wait...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aimee, I'm so sorry, and at the same time glad that you were there for your grandfather and the rest of your family.

Re: arithmetic -- for my Econ midterm last week, she strongly encouraged us to bring calculators, just so we didn't get tripped up by something easy, even though there wasn't likely to be a ton of computation. One of my friends forgot her calculator that day, and ran out to buy one. On the test? There was exactly one bit of subtraction to do. Eh.

While fast forwarding press the > or < button (the around the select button). It hits the quarter hours.

Ahhhh, thanks!

The A thing: If you're in guide, you can go forward in 100-channel increments by pressing the A button. If you're in the title guide, you can go forward by title by using the C button.

OK, that I knew, but I don't really care, because I scroll by my favorites.

Oh, question for people who order from Amazon: I got emails saying my order has shipped, but on the website, they don't think I have any recent orders. Is that normal?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Jesse, that happened to me with the latest Harry Potter book. Even after the book had been delivered to me, Amazon's web site *still* said I didn't have any recent orders.

Good calculator fun is handing someone your old HP when they ask to borrow a calculator. Then sit back and watch the confusion.
