"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Just read your post in Beep Me, shrift, and I'm wishing you health-ma and luck on the meds. I know we've had to shift pills and dosages for mine a few times, and I'm 3 right now - two for the actual high bp and one to maximize one of the bp meds.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate being dependent on meds (more for the "have to remember to take it, and take it with x, y and z" then being on the meds themselves)? Because I do.

Now tagless for your comfort.

How could you hire a beautiful woman that would possibly make it worth the company's money to save one customer at a time?

How many shills are they paying, though? A girl could work more than one account at a time, right? Even setting up dates with the marks wouldn't be too much of a scheduling problem. Hire a few shills in a few cities to work a large number of soon-to-expire accounts and it's worth their while to keep membership money rolling in.

Damn youuuuuuuu, whoever you were.

No, but except for word-of-mouth*, they only make back one extended subscription per date. That extended subscription brings in $30/month-- let's say 30% of that is profit. So $10/month. How could you hire a beautiful woman that would possibly make it worth the company's money to save one customer at a time?

Why is only 30% of it profit? There doesn't appear to be much overhead for online sites except advertising and bandwith. I'd think 90% of it would be profit. Also, one date can reasonably cause a subscriber to extend for 6 months. So at $27 per month that's $162 not counting word of mouth. And they're probably not paying the woman all that much. After all, she eats free.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'd bet the word of mouth is huge, too -- I've never considered joining a site if I didn't know people who didn't at least get some decent dates out of it.

Oh, and shrift, while I am concerned for you, I am slightly more concerned for those around you, if bacon really is the only thing keeping you from choking a bitch. If you see what I'm saying. Good luck!!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I am glad they are looking for other causes -because quite likely there is something else. but I will say for those of us that shot up to the stratosphere with the bp - the medication worked pretty quickly.
