It is a madhouse of a Monday around here. Plus I just sat through a meeting with a vendor and then noticed I had a spill on my shirt. Feh. Also, those fucktards in Congress finally acted on something they've been sitting on for months on Friday evening which means a piece that should have gone to the printer this morning will have to be entirely rewritten.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Can't trust that day.
The day's been decent to me so far. My fingers are crossed. Only two days to work this week. Can do, can do.
Got CPR/AED/First Aid certified over the weekend. The training involves a number of horror stories, naturally, but the one that stuck with me the most was learning that in attempting to stand up after the fall, Christopher Reeve damaged his own spinal cord.
Can do, can do.
I got this horse right here, his name is Paul Revere... t /Guys and Dolls earworm
OOps, I mean Velvet goldmine, don't I?
Just saying, it's not as if that invalidates Hec's point about junkies and transvestites.
On GA: Was that John Cho that played Joe's boyfriend? I wasn't paying much atttention when he first walked in, and in the brief glimpses of the character afterward the longer hair made me unsure, but it looked like him.
I think the only thing Joe was being brave about was exposing his boyfriend to that houseful of nutcases and risking the "why didn't we spend Thanksgiving with my friends, who are SANE?!?" fight afterwards .

This week is going to be fun. One tech is on vacation all week. The other tech is here today, but will be on vacation for the rest of the week. Plus it's his on-call week, so I get to cover that for him as well. This morning has been a little crazy, but I'm hoping it will quiet down the closer we get to the holiday.
Seriously, out of everyone who now wants to cover their asses and pretend they were all reasonable about this, Rumsfeld does. NOT. Get. To. Play.
I love his stance in that article. It essentially boils down to "I agreed with the Iraq war, but it wasn't my idea, see."
Now let's not play the blame game.
Today would be vile, except I am attempting to ignore everything vile about it because I'm supposed to be lowering my stress levels.
I'm not sure it's working.

This wouldn't be their latest pay raise, because they got around to voting themselves that post-haste. At a time when all other federal agencies are suffering.
