Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Okay what LA-istas aren't up at this point?

Seriously! Allyson is probably still asleep. Smart girl.

Lori and I already had breakfast. Off to school now.

We've decided London because it costs half as much. Belgium will be a summer trip, I think.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Have you ever had someone else wipe your nose?

I hadn't seen that picture, Nilly. It's so odd to see pictures of myself, especially pictures of my pregnant self. I'm not the person who generally hates all pictures of herself, but I always have this odd moment of, "so that's what I look like?" I'm probably 'fessing up to the worst sort of vanity, but I look much prettier in my own head than I do in photographs. Ah well.

Have a good day at school, Kat!

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

Polgara! You deserve more exclamation points because it really has been long-time-no-post! How are you doing?

Hee! I have a cold which is why I've been up since 6am, which is verra annoying. But otherwise, pretty much same old, same old. And how are you? :-)

Kat, yay for deciding, and yay for the possible summer trip!

Have you ever had someone else wipe your nose?

That makes sense. Though, aren't babies used to other people doing pretty much everything for them, as well?

I always have this odd moment of, "so that's what I look like?"

I have something similar, but it's closer to not liking most pictures of myself. They just never seem to me to look like the image of me that I have in my head. Not in the sense of beauty or lack thereof, but in the sense of "so this is how this me person looks from the outside?".

I'm probably 'fessing up to the worst sort of vanity

Well, you're a very pretty woman. But in my eyes, it's also in pictures, even though it's more in face-space.

I usually find most people prettier in face-space than in pictures. Then again, I've never met any actors or people who make their living by being pretty in pictures, so there may be also that.

Now tagless for your comfort.

That makes sense. Though, aren't babies used to other people doing pretty much everything for them, as well?

Yes! Including wiping worse places.

Oh, and on a Sunday, of all days. Stupid cold. I hope you feel better soon.

And how are you?

The usual crazy beginning-of-the-semester running-around. Which is the good kind of crazy, so that's OK. Oh, and I have a new roommate who seems very nice (even after a couple of weeks of living in the same apartment, so it's not just based on meeting her for a few minutes). All in all, pretty much "same old" like you, I guess, without the cats.

Babies control so very little. They've just gotten the dirt and snot the way they like it and we go and wipe it off.

Harvest spice peaches definitely make for a better breakfast than the kashi cereal that's staring at me disapprovingly from the kitchen table. Healthy, tasty, and bear no resemblance whatsoever to sawdust.

I'm going to have to rethink my unmotivated procrastination approach to vacationing in Europe, as I got a standing invitation this week to stay with Swedish Translator Guy in Stockholm if I visit the contintent. Wonder if (when finances allow) I should do the multi-stage trip I'd vaguely thought of, and see if he'd want to come with to Prague, Florence, and Positano...

Timelies all!

Another lazy weekend morning here. Still in my pajamas, though I'll need to shower and dress soon...

Oh, and Kashi Go Lean hot cereal is rather bland.(It's supposed to be vanilla flavor, but doesn't actually taste like much of anything)
