Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

How 'bout that?

Reuters is reporting that special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald said in court filings Friday morning that his investigation into the Plame leak will require proceedings before a new grand jury.

...

Given Fitzgerald's tight lips and ponderous pace, we're not likely to get many answers soon. But we do know one thing -- a new grand jury means more subpoenas, more rumors and more heat on the Bush administration.

hip deep in pie

These are some comments for my favourite prof ever:

She is slightly scatterbrained but funny. She really seems to love the material and it shows. She sort of makes the students want to love it as much as she does which is nice. (And that was only a so-so rating.)

By a long shot, the single most understanding prof I've ever come across. She cares about students more than any I've ever seen. That is her best quality--worth taking on that account.

Spring 2K5: What a wonderful professor! Found the syllabus was lacking - a little scattered, but overall she makes the course adventurous and exciting, and she is so knowledgeable that in the end you are really glad you took Chaucer, Beowulf, etc. from her!

Man, I miss her.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I just looked up my professors from my current program. All the ones I like were graded badly because they were too hard or not clear. All the ones I hated were graded well because they were easy and helpful (I didn't find them helpful).

So, current teachers, please do not take what is being said on there as something you should pay much, if any, attention to.

Also, this confirms my belief that most of my co-students are lazy and expect things to be handed to them.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, I've found the worst Christmas gift idea ever.

Sharper Image's worldwide exclusive "Alive" Chimpanzee is yours to give or get for under $150 — the first high-quality animatronics robot ever designed for home or office!

When you leave your chimp, use the controller to put him in "Guard" mode — ready for anything to trip his sensors: When someone enters the room (for example), your "Alive" Chimpanzee will begin whatever series of actions and vocalizations you programmed. Sounds like fun, yes?

Actually, it sounds like a horror movie waiting to happen.

Edit: Oh, my god, there's a video. I'm afraid to watch.

Always Anti-fascist!

Go, Ed Danvers!(he totally reminds me of him, except taller and with that Chicago nasal "a".) Kick some NeoCon tail.

I was wondering how long you could hold out, Kat.

I hate the last 2 hours before I leave the office when I'm going to be gone. I start thinking of all the shit that can and will go wrong and even if I hate the job, it doesn't matter, I hate it done badly and and and...

Where's my list?!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Looked up my mom. Only 1 rating, but I think it's accurate:

"A kind woman - great smile and energy - a wonderful drama teacher!"

Yay mom.
