Do either of you guys actually have winter?
Was what I was going to ask. As I sit in balmy 45 F weather.
(and yes, "balmy" was sarcasm.)
I need to get new hooks or something for the earrings I wore yesterday. Everytime I wear them, one ear gets irritated. They are either too heavy or the hook is just oto thick.

It is *cold* here right now. Hmph.
The rumour mill just kicked in at work, big time. I'm surprised that a) it hadn't kicked in earlier and b) how
developed
the rumours are. It's kinda scary.
There isn't as much winter here as there used to be. We'll have about one big snow a season (okay in Minnesota they'd probably call it a little snow) and a couple of really cold weeks and that's about it.
what's the Kprinkle thing from?
Somebody (Cybervixen? Not sure why I think that) was helping a kid with a homework assignment where they had to find a word that was one letter different from all of their spelling (?) words. But one of the words was sprinkle. The teacher had apparently not actually found a one-letter-away word for all the words. Kprinkle was the best one we came up with.
I {heart} kprinkle.
ION, gyros are messy, but also delicious.

I was having this problem the other day. I finally decided that the earrings were just too heavy. Then I hit on the bright idea to turn one into a lapel pin. It worked beautifully and I got tons of compliments and less ouch-y ears to boot.
I don't mind winter in places that can deal with it. I'm an Ohio girl after all.
But, in LA, when it's cold as it is at night, nothing is built to withstand it and that makes coldand cranky.
KPRINKLE!
it's cold as it is at night
I think it's the night temperature drop that's bothering me most. I get used to the relative balm of the day, and can't deal with turning the heat on at night. My windows are open during the day, and I look blankly at them at night and tuck the pillows under.
Okay, work rumours just ratcheted up my headache gear.
psst: Sue, move to NYC, less wintery.
It's tempting....

I am not convince my apartment was built to withstand winter either. It seems to have no insulation to speak of. Thank god for polar fleece and my duvet.
