If I can EVER avoid medical treatment at Ohio State University's hospital, I will. Between August (when I had an ultrasound there) and October, I got no fewer than FIVE phone calls over a $35 bill.
I dragged my feet because I knew I had a second appointment and wanted to pay both bills together (since I'm getting a reimbursement from my flexible spending account).
Now I just got my first call for my second appointment--I just got the bill last week for $46.
I wonder if this is cost effective and increases their rate of collection on bills. Because I'm inclined to wait as long as possible to pay this I'm so annoyed.
