turkey that needs to be thawed and brined
Kat, Alton Brown on Good Eats brined a turkey. I think the explanation was that it made the meat more moist. Do you find this is true? I've never had a brined turkey.
Yes. Brining is the WAY to go. Brine, then spice rub then cook at super high heat for a fraction of the usual time.
Brining meat in general makes it all good.
We brined our last few turkeys, and OHMYGAWD is it better. Moister and more flavorful.
Though the difficulty with brining a large turkey is finding a container to brine in and space in the fridge to keep it cool for the time needed to brine.
