Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Study shows that hitting your kids is bad for them.

Children who are smacked are more likely than those who are not to become aggressive and anxious, no matter what the cultural norm, a study says.

A global research team studied 336 families across six countries - some of which accepted smacking as legitimate discipline and some which did not.

It found smacking resulted in more behavioural problems in all countries.

But in countries where smacking was the norm, the problems were less acute, the Child Development journal reported.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Which goes to show that everyone should do it. To make me look more normal.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm bitch-slapping Soderbergh, first chance I get.

You'll just encourage his behavioral problems.

Which means more bad movies.

Also, why are ALL the pj pants at Target either flannel or thermal fabric now? I just want another pair of tshirt material ones, since I'm actually going to be seen in them, and all mine are currently kinda trashy. I don't WANT flannel.

OTOH, for the first time ever, I bought a buttload of super soft wide vnecks there, and I think I'm going to live in them all winter. Not very styling, but...comfy.

Art Crawl!!!

But sarameg, it's COLD at night -- flannel is good when it's cold at night.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I walked out on O12 in the theater. That's probably the second movie I've walked out on in my life.

And I really, really liked O11.

But...it isn't that cold yet (I can't believe I said that.) They are too warm to actually sleep in. And besides, when it is that cold, that is sweatpants. And those are too warm to sleep in too. Then it is a nice down comforter and cuddly cats.

I need Profit screencaps. To be precise, I need to make a "Good Night" icon.

Okay, I'm about to listen to the commentary, but I'm out of ginger ale. My life sucks.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I got good news! My friend, Cyn, in addition to getting a new place in the Quarter, is now the wife of the new sous-chef at Muriel's!

ETA: and I feel just horrible horrible, about posting that on the heels of ita's tragedy. ((((ita))))
