And I myself will be wearing pink taffeta as chenille would not go with my complexion.

DXM, where is your tagline from?

Ooh, math fight.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Nilly, it's a line from Numb3rs.

Numb3rs

Oh, just from the name, it makes sense. Thanks. Was there an actual math fight?

(Also, good to post with you! How are you doing?)

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Hil!!

It was sort of like Thunderdome, except with more chalk.

Thunderdome

t ignorant And I should Google that in order to find out what it is, I guess. Though I imagine it's nothing like the "17!"-"8!"-"17!!"-"8!"-"17!" that's scribbled all over my math notebooks from highschool, numbers fight with the girl I was sitting next to.

Do you still use chalk in classrooms? This year the last classes in this university switched to whiteboards. So now instead of white chalk all over my fingers I get black hands from markers. Still better, though. They scrub off easier, and I highly appreciate the possibility to breath and write at the same time.

The best math teacher I had in high school was allergic to chalk so he used an overhead projector and marker. He always had a black or blue stain on his sleeve from resting his arm on the overhead.

It's from a Mad Max film--end of civilation, lots of man to man combat in a giant dome. It's brutal. Very much like math.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Speaking of brutal - this is kind of neat. They had a vertical race here this morning - 103 flights of stairs up to the observation level in the Sears Tower.
