Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Gus, the god skipper...

Then who's Gilligan?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

There was an article in our weekly about "Unschooling" home schooling.

Here it is. [link]

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Wal-Mart! Boo. Hiss. Enemies of the people.

Ok, you all know that I am somewhere to the left of Marx. Still, I have to come out with some defenses for WalMart, 'cause they are doing the capitalist thing in proper...

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Sorry, tommy. For some reason, nexis only has issues of Science through 2004. Nothing more current. Bastids.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I know parents of children with learning issues that home school because it serves the child's needs best. It works better for some super brainiacs that need more challenges and it works for children with special needs if their parents have the skill to do it.

It's something you see a lot with (child) musicians, too.

Capitalism is conspiring to keep me from science.

Thanks for trying....

Always Anti-fascist!

It's bloody harsh, then. But that's not news. I won't shop in one, though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The spelling bee champion kids are usually homeschooled, aren't they? So they can really focus on the spelling.

Ditto for musical prodigees. Most of the kids in the piano documentary I worked on were home-schooled.

[ooh, musical x-post!]
