Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Kerr-rap!

Sen. Barack Obama's debut on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" has been foiled. The culprit: official Senate business. Obama was to appear on the program in New York on Monday. But spokesman Robert Gibbs said Sunday that Obama had to cancel so he could be in Washington to vote on a defense spending bill.

I was so looking forward to that....

Well, drat. I actually had my ducks rowed for taping and all. Oh well.

Here are pictures of the Halloween costumes

Oh, they're so adorable, both of them! I love Leif's "guess what I'm about to do next" smile, and your daughter looks so grown-up and beautiful in the pictures with the dogs. Thanks for posting those!

Notes from the BRQG: I so miss Ellen S.

Me too.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

hey, I skipped like a mad thing (327 posts), so I'm just wondering if we've talked about the pirates?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. I might give your daughter 20 bucks for a half cup of chocolate chips. Mmm. Leif is too cute.

Also, I miss Ellen, too! The BRQG always makes me nostalgic.

Also, herding dog stories are all cute. Ours, while definitely a mutt, is probably mostly Aussie shepherd too, so he looks longingly at other peoples' sheep. He tries to herd the free-range cattle when they come through our yard, but they just look at him. We need to find more for him to do.

Also, I have coffee. Coffee is good. This whole being up and at-em in the mornings is odd and off-putting. But I'm getting so much done. I suppose this is how normal people do it, huh?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hmm, I'm totally willing to get spoiled for VM for a chance to post with Ellen again.
