oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

yay - we had a bunch of people for the hose concert last night and some Ideas on how to make the next one better.yay. the 'down' side of the house concert. I had to apple cake and deb's cinnamon cake for lunch.

I still need to put the house back to gether - but a house concert is less stressful than a party. I think because the entertainment is there.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Our cat is getting better about large groups. He was a bit pissed off that I made him stay in the bedroom while most of the people were here, but he is unpredictable. However, he was well behaved when we let him out his behavior is improveing.

my dog story. we had a great golden retrevier growing up. She took lot of abuse from 3 little girls that tried to ride her, put sweatshirts on her , and used her as a pillow. But we had one neighbor that she hated/feared. He would occassionaly shoot birds in his backyard - and my dog hated/feared that sound. She would growl at him whenever he came over. even the best dogs have a line.

I have friends with a pit - and Molly i sa good dog. But she needs some obedience training 1) she likes to jump to greet - not to many people are happy with large dogs that do that - make it a pit - and it is worse. DH won't go near her when she is like that. 2) she is too strong for physicla force to be an option for control the 12 yr old daughter has to sit on the ground (while holding the leash) to keep the dog from running after a cat.

I like dogs - part of me would love to have a dog. But dogs require a lot more attention and consistancy of behavior that I know I'm not really up for it now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So his wife knitted him a sweater with the graph as a sample, on all of the front, and he used that when he spoke.

That is AWESOME.

And I'm sure your advisor is very smart and all that, but sometimes you need pretty and fun more than you need actual, you know, information.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am so sorry I had to bail on it, beth. I was looking forward to it, and to seeing you guys, so much.

Stoopid migraine.

Well, you certainly taught that cat a lesson she won't soon forget.

Well, it did get her taken back outside. And frankly, I'm a big freaking softie who is headed towards her doom.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Be strong, sarameg, be strong.

Don't let her wear you down.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

When that tortie looks at sarameg it's seeing a winning lottery ticket.

Dressed in tunafish.

Quotation from the Grey's Anatomy writer about George, with which I heartily disagree: "the guy women appreciate but girls don't love." (from a mildly spoilery TV Guide article). If that's what she thinks...well, maybe I'm a girl (bite me), or maybe she's writing him wrong. As a woman, I'd appreciate a man with more spine.

I put my laundry in. Do I get a cookie?

eta: I'd appreciate having George around to do my laundry. Do you think that's what she meant?
