Hee, brenda. We just bought a new bed (new bed, yay!) and the Biscuit wasted no time in hopping up on it and falling asleep upside down.
Seriously. If she had Xs for eyes I'd've thought she was dead.
Also, yay! New bed!

You know, it's a little hard to be intimidated by a dog who is now asleep on her back with all four legs pointing up into the air.
I know this one. Back curved to better conform to the back and arm of the couch?
Dad called back. The tornado was over on the other side of town, so my family (all on the West Side) are fine. And my friend who's in college on the East side has an away message up, so she's fine, and probably also a church.
Oh, good, debetesse. I'm glad.
Also, yay! New bed!
Totally. 50 bucks at the thrift store for a king sized mattress in really good shape ($100 but on sale for 50% off)! Right now it's on two mis-sized box springs (free from the outside of a hotel), but we can take our time to get that sorted properly. $100 at TJ-Maxx for a gorgeous flannel sheet set, two huge Ralph Lauren pillows, thick fluffy mattress pad and a spare fitted sheet. It cost more for the accessories than for the mattress itself!
Anyway, even at all that discount store stuff, it is probably the most comfortable bed we've ever had. We've had other beds we've liked, like the futon, but not nearly as comfortable. We're sleeping way better, and less morning back pain.
I totally sound like those late night commercials, don't I? But I wasn't ready to shell out three grand for the Tempur-pedic Celebrity, so I told the SO I'd saved us $2,850.
Hooray for saving money and sleeping well! Hooray for lack of back pain!
How scary Debet. I'm happy to hear you have talked to them.
I've always had dogs, mostly big dogs. Bad dogs scare me. My neighbor has a very bad habit of taking in dogs that are recovering from health issues, or have been beaten. She's had several pits. We live with a park across the street. Lots of small children play there. Her children do the same thing. I think they have 7 dogs between them and when the kids visit they bring their dogs. One of her grand-dogs chewed up an itty bitty dog that was being walked down the street. I am very afraid that one day it will be a child. Yes, I’ve made it clear how I feel about animals that aren’t quite right. I don’t trust them. Ugh.
Yay for all the good doggies.
We've got your back tommyrot. I'd be plotting a rescue for you.
Whee! Yay for new beds and good sleep!
Yeah. My family has a little silkie-looking terrier that was mistreated, but he's small enough to be unable to do much damage and he's kept mostly in check by the other 3, who are well-adjusted.
Yeah, the big mal-adjusted dogs are scary. They don't make dog-sense, which is freaksome.
We've got your back tommyrot. I'd be plotting a rescue for you.
Heh.
At one point, I was searching on my laptop for an article about the standoff. I was gonna post and link to the article, saying, "I am trapped in this."
Laura, where's your tagline from?
Veronica Mars. I marathoned the whole series over the last month and just finished this morning. Whee!
I ::heart:: Keith.
