Our options for getting to Boston for Christmas are 1) $900 in plane tickets (Eve, being 2, doesn't fly free anymore) or 2) 12-hour drive up I-95. Other paths are even slower but less insane-making.
These feel like no options. We may not be traveling for Thanksgiving OR Christmas.
We're dealing with the same thing, flea. The cheap option involves a 30-hour, 4-airport trek with an 8-month old. I think that's illegal under the Geneva Convention.
Condolences to Jilli and Pete on the passing of Dread Beastie. I'm so sorry.
I thought half the reason for having kids was the ability to make people come to you.
Jilli, I'm so sorry. And will be giving my cat the Stern Lecture AGAIN.
The good news: I have a nice guy from Dominion Power (Carolinas I think) up in the pole behind my house this very minute. He tells me I'll have power back today!!! Whee!
Excellent news, Laura! Sorry about making your BiL eat beef....
I'm kind of appalled at how few posts there have been in the time I ran errands AND went to a baby shower.
I did not, sadly. But do they even wear lederhosen in Bohemia? (The place is actually Bohemian Hall.)
In truly sad news, I'm all excited because my DVR got a What Not To Wear with a guy I've seen in clip shows, but had never seen his whole episode.
The roommate is watching MTV's "Made", the show where people try to overcome their insecurities by being turned into totally different people in the desperate hope that somehow that will make them popular and happy. I had to leave the room.
Hey, did I mention that my homework is hard? Because... hard!
