I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Ouch, ita. I hope it blows over quickly, or better yet, never starts blowing.

Always Anti-fascist!

Shit, ita. Sounds awful. Hope the fallout isn't too horrifying.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Okay, I'm putting together the Women's History Month Luncheon figures. This is an early estimate but I thought to check and see of others think this is too expensive for this menu:

Iced tea, water, fruit, cheese tartlets on the table to start.

Then there is a choice of three lunch salads: Cobb, Chinese chicken, or Caesar with either grilled chicken or shrimp (or neither for vegetarians).

Choice of either a brownie or lemon bar for dessert, and coffee service.

Comes to $25 per person with servers, tax, gratuity. That should be a nice lunch, yeah? Or too expensive?

Thrive to spite them

Emails that Michael Brown sent out right after Hurricane Katrina have been made public.

Seems he was very concerned about what he was wearing and if he could go home.

If I only had a brain...

Allyson, Caesar salad is bad news for many vegetarians -- standard Caesar dressing contains both eggs and anchovies.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the support, guys.

::breathes deeply::

I'm still not checking my e-mail. But I've called the implicated person, and they're confident that the denial will stay well entrenched. I've warned them, though, that should I have ushered in an era of glasnost, that I don't actually have the emotional reserves to deal with the fallout, nor the diplomatic ones, and it's up to them.

In other news, I've decided not to faint, because that would be stupid and annoying. I've also decided to eat. Not now, because I'm still suffering from quite intense nausea, but when I get home (admittedly I might stop by krav in my street clothes to say hi to people) I'm taking the stupid pill that makes me feel like crap and having pizza. I've had 12 pieces of sushi since Monday. Not helping.

Allyson, that seems expensive to me, but I can't remember the last time I paid for a salad -- how much do they go for?

Well crap. We can do the Chinese Chicken Salad without chicken if need be, then.

I think we need to stage an ita intervention. YOU MUST EAT.

On the plus side, she can always use the excuse that she was temporarily insane when she made the family boo boo, due to illness and LACK OF EATING.

Not until I'm fairly sure it's not coming right back up, dude.

Okay, then, IV fluids at least. Are you drinking? Anything?
