Yeah, they did. It was bizarre to watch. I should have taken pictures. And the weirdest thing is, it's not like they moved it somewhere else so it could be used. It's currently sitting on a parking lot four houses down from where it used to be. I have no idea what they are planning on doing with it.

my friend got a break on his house because they picked it up to do something to the foundation or something, and when they were lowering it back down they dropped it so, there something about the structural integrity of the house being slightly compromised. The engineer said that if he lived in a place with rough weather, he should worry about it, but it should be fine here.

Watching construction workers can be quite enjoyable. IJS

hell, just throw on a coat.

Yeah, except here a coat might draw attention. I do often drive the kids to school with a t-shirt tossed over my jammies, and almost always have slippers on. I just know the car will die on me on one of those days.

I'm sorry DebetEsse. I hope you find a workable alternative.

From 8 stories up, the workers are just hard hats and orange vests - difficult to check for any hard bodies, darn it.

But the viewing has become a routine now - tea and construction...it's the new black.

Our wings are not tired.

From 8 stories up you can imagine that they are all hunks and can't see the beer belly and dirty fingernails. Might be a better plan.

Back ages ago when I walked to classes I passed a construction site every day and they would yell stuff, good natured stuff. About once a week I would wave and they would go nuts. I love construction workers.

How in all of tarnation did I get so lucky with my job? I haven't been in in like three weeks. I e-mailed my boss to let him know that I would be coming back tomorrow...hoping that I still have a job. His response? "Our Christmas party is at 1pm. Make sure to be here by then."

The cat is bored. She keeps knocking things down...sometimes fairly heavy things that I wouldn't think she'd be able to knock down. I just told Emily we need another mouse to occupy her. You should have seen the look I got! It was priceless.
