MG - congratulations on the promotion! And how crazy of that person to make you feel small when rewarding you! (idiot manager)
Also, I know what you mean. I hate crying at work too.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{{{MG}}}} I'm sorry, love.
{{MG}} I suspect your contracts manager of being jealous of your kudos and/or feeling threatened by your insane work skills which made you a force of nature these past few months. Smile at him/her and say, "Don't worry, I'll remember the little people who made this all possible when I'm in charge."
Or, when his/her back is turned, stick your tongue out at 'em and say, "neener, neener."
but the reaction from my contracts manager has me feeling about 2 inches tall.
That is really, really, really, really, not ok for him or her to do. I'll be pissed on your behalf. Embrace the pissy.
Congrats and sympathies, MG.
Thanks all. The promotion changes the way I can account for my time, which will have a big affect on the the contract I work on...but there has to be a way to make it work out.
Just don't need the added shite. Where is that Valium when I need it?!?!?
Obviously your contracts manager is eaten alive with jealousy. Here's hoping the big green monster finishes the job. Poof! No more contracts manager.
Oooh, Deena - I like your solution!!!
{{MG}} What Sparky and Deena said. She's just a jealous bitch (with a lower case "b").
Congrats on your promotion!
Cash, I can't even begin to understand them not checking your cousin. That's insane. I'm glad the baby is okay and hope everything turns out well for the mom.
DH just stopped by cause I forgot my cell at home - again. He took glee in reminding me that delivery services will be ending soon.
He also doesn't understand why I'm upset about my work situation. I just wish my boss (L - in Boise) would put the smack down on my contract's manager (B). Unfortunately, it is B that I work with on a daily basis and B is the one who has some influence over my workload.
Whiney, whiney, rant, rant. Sorry y'all. This is just one of those things I can't fuss about at work for obvious reasons and if I don't let off some of the steam, I'm going to be the one exploding, or dissolving into a puddle of tears, or going on a murderous rampage.
