'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Pffft. You get to be all reasonable, generous, and affable. I get to be disappointed, irrational, and bitter. It's a thing.

Well, y'know, I didn't have a great deal invested in her, so to speak. We'd gone out once, and I like her and all, but I wasn't quite at the stage of asking her to have my babies (will sauteed be ok?). So I have room for another friend in my life.

What is even happening?

Stephanie, my brain must not have taken in the news about Joe jumping, today. I was probably on my first sip of coffee when I "read" it. I don't blame you for worrying, AND still, he'll be fine. Also, you get to beat him up when he gets home for causing you all the not-worried worrying. It's a wife benefit.

Excellent.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

What's everyone else (except for Stephanie and billytea) doing up?
Insomania mostly.

And watching old X-Files. The eyerolling might be keeping me awake actually. Did they ever even have a clue on mythology and continuity? Cause my crack-smoking cat keeps better track of these things.

Stephanie, I am also sure Joe will be fine but it will be nice once he's back on the ground safely too.

Good luck on the paper, vw.

Hee. Well, we know that.

Actually, it's been handy for clarifying what I'm really looking for. Just in terms of ease in talking and feeling like there's a connection, she was closer than AS!Girl. This helps confirm that it's not the mathy parts of my brain that I need to match.

Good silver lining. Knowing what is really important to you is key.

Excellent news on the review though. You indeed rock like a rocking thing that rocks.

Apparently so! Huzzah! My bosses have been smoking the good crack!

Nah, seriously, I've done some pretty good work over the year, and thanks to my work history I'm something of a unique commodity. But I'm still easily distracted by shiny things.

I'm usually trying to cut my papers down to make a page-limit max. I think this one's gonna barely make the minimum.

Trust my rage

Thanks, everyone. I must not have been too worried because I fell back asleep.

I love that Mal says Ole. What a cutie!
