[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Can you still get a C?

In the class? I sure hope so.

Trust my rage

You mentioned some score you had to get in LJ. I was just wondering if this was good enough for that or not? I'm guessing it is, but i wasn't sure.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

At this point I'm just hoping I can salvage my understanding of the material for the cumulative final.

Now tagless for your comfort.

vw, let me tell you a little story about a very smart guy. He was wicked smart and taking an advanced calculus class towards a degree in actuarial science. A good friend of ours was taking the same test in the class but at a different time. When Smart Guy walked out of the class he ran into our friend and said, "I ACED that test. I should be teaching that class!"

When the scores came back, Smart Guy had gotten a 38% and our friend, who wasn't even an actuarial science major scored a 78%.

Sometimes, smart people don't do well on tests. But they do go on to have promising careers and marry a cool person, so it all works out in the end.

Witch Baby has killed me dead.

Smart Guy DH is very tired, having gotten back from Vegas where he didn't get a room for Sunday night due to his having a 6 a.m. flight out of town Monday morning. He was dead on his feet when he came home. He played with Owen, I fed him dinner and he's now tucked in bed. AND HE BROUGHT ME BACK SOME MONEY!

Cindy, I really hope Scott's back thing gets better quick. I agree with everyone else--I'd be popping expired meds, too.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry vw.

What is even happening?

Oh, vw, I'm sorry. Is that a D (as this teacher grades, I mean)?

FWIW, Cindy, I've taken many a percocet past its expiry date. They work fine, but just not as long.

I'll pass that on too Hec, thanks. He took two Tylenol around 4:00, so he has to wait at least another hour. The flexeril worked better, this time. He took some the other day, and he said it didn't work as well as he remembered it. This script is from the summer, and is a generic, and he's wondering if that's the difference. We know it shouldn't be.

That's what I'm hoping. It depends on how the curve goes. So, if lots of people did worse than me, then I'm in good shape!

And, Cindy, I hope Scott feels better soon. Back stuff is no fun.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I solve the half-pint problem by putting a round cake cooling sheet (the wire-grid kind) in the bottom of my biggest stockpot. Then I lift individual jars in and out with a jar lifter.

I've done it before without the wire rack in the problem, and nothing's ever broken (they just make a ton of noise). But I left my big pot behind at the old apartment, alas! The 8-quart one I have will still work, it'll just take twice as many batches.

I've got vanilla-bean marmalade simmering now, and it smells gooooooooood.

I hope nobody will think ill of me that I wish your classmates all had more trouble with the exam than you did.
