I'd be wicked glad to visit New England, Cindy, but it has not worked out yet.Someday, though, despite Dennis Lehane making Boston look like The Place To Be To Get Disemboweled, I still want to go. I have to see if Victor's been posting the man that came with the frame all this time!
'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I've been fairly productive in that I just posted this...
1. "Merry Fucking Christmas (live)" - Denis Leary. A charming ditty by our favorite foul mouthed Mick.
2. "Me And Mrs. Claus" - Mike the Maintenance Man. Naughty Philly soul update for the holidays.
...at Buffistarawk for erika (and anybody else who wants them). Look for Xmas 3 (for erika).
Emmett and I got his xmas present for his mom. We also dug out all his Christmas Playmobils (from the Playmobil Advent Calendar which is in disarry). We also made sugar cookies. And when JZ gets back from Dickens Faire, we'll all troop out to the giant lighted tree in GG Park with cocoa and ginger men.
I need to point out to y'all that "clearing things off your TiVo" in no way qualifies as "being productive." It's the opposite of productive. Also, watching your DVDs? Not productive. Fun, yes. Indulgent, yes. Entirely justifiable? Probably. Just not something that warrants a check on your "to-do" list.
yarg. I need to remember that making chicken pot pies from scratch is a LOT more work than I think it is. I do not want to make more pie crust. But I have a huge bowl of filling left. I may try the shortcut a friend suggested, and get good-quality flour tortillas, coat them with butter, and line the wee pie tins with those, instead.
Do I feel up to putting on some powder, mascara, lipstick, and proper clothes, just so I can go down the street and watch the Christmas carolers from the local church? They're performing in the park that's a block down from us in about an hour.

Another good shortcut is to just use biscuit dough for the top crust. You can whip it up with Bisquick very quick, or even use poppinfresh style biscuits-in-a-can.

I vote Yes for Jilli All Made Up.
Also you should listen to that xmas parody I sent based on (faux) Tom Waits Meets (faux) Peter Murphy For The Christmas Misery Fest.

Good point. I just need to see if I can find organic versions of Bisquick. Or look at my biscuit recipe again.

This does not surprise me, but thank you.

Eeeee! I've been trying to track that down for years! I'll download it as soon as I'm back from the park.

Fortunately I didn't even make a to-do list today.

It's up at Buffistarawk. Along with Loreena McKennit's "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."

Dude, you socialized this weekend. You're off the hook.
I've done about half the stuff on my to-do list today. I'm trying to decide whether I can really cross off the "work out" entry. I did 15 minutes of a 45-minute exercise video, then got bored with it. My attention span lately is nonexistent. I think it's being used up on studying, so that I can study for several hours, but then can't do anything else for more than about five minutes at a time.
Not very productive today, either. My old dogsitter stopped by to see the boy and we watched some DVD's when Owen went down for his nap. I thoroughly enjoyed Unleased and was surprised when The Fantastic Four didn't suck as badly as I thought it would.
DH gets back from Vegas tomorrow.
Organic baking mixes.
Oooh, thank you! I think I'll end up making drop biscuit batter for tonight's chicken pot-pie dinner, but I may pick up a couple of those mixes in the future.
Okay. Makeup applied (even eyeliner, because apparently I'm *never* too tired to apply liquid eyeliner). Now to get dressed and trundle down to the park.
