Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Also, Nora- how long did it take to get better? I don't even know how I did it!

Raq, those are some really beautiful pictures!

Wow. I doubt I'm gonna hold on to much info from this lecture. I'm chatting on AIM, here, looking at pictures, eating...Hee!

Well, he is talking about HIV. Most of this stuff seems to be stuff I learned in middle school.

Which means, of course, that I'm just not hearing the parts where he's actually explaining what "polymerase" means.

We already know what "polymerase" is.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Emily, you most definitely could.

Seriously, although the money isn't more/as much as it would be at home, the saving opportunities are better, the social life is excellent, the travel opportunities are excellent, the standard of living (on an expat salary) is very good...there's a helluvalot to recommend it.

Plus, me!

Okay, but now he's actually giving chemical names. I guess we're past my junior high education now.

How'd you find that job, anyway?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

my back issue was a mystery too. It was probably a couple weeks until I felt relatively normal, and a few more weeks of being extra creaky and stiff. Are you applying heat to the area? That is key. Also, anti-inflammatories like ibuprofin. Also, I went on a total bender late in the healing process (after a couple weeks) and I woke up feeling great! I don't know if that last bit of advice is sound, however. But a heating pad and Advil, that's good stuff.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I forgot two things to mention in the last few days. No, three. Three things to mention...

Amongst the things to mention...

1. Lack of work at my job had us sent home early w/o pay a lot for a couple of weeks. My paycheck was 18 hours lower on Friday. Merry fricken Christmas.

2. I found a bat dead in the basement toilet. I can't imagine where he's been getting food. I haven't ruled out suicide. OTOH? It was easy to give him a "burial at sea."

3. Thursday morning a law enforcement officer knocked at my door looking for a (George?) Sweet. Mr Sweet has this address on record for his domicile, I guess. I informed the officer that I bought the house in '99 and have never met Mr. Sweet. I should check the newspaper for the Police Log on the guy.
