Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm thinking yes. She had gained over half a pound in a week between doctor visits.
Woo hoo! Except for the overly nursey/non sleeping parts. *g*
I'm still hurty but man, I can't express how getting a little more sleep makes it easier to cope with pain. I may yet make it another 9 weeks. My MiL's birthday is the 15th--I told her there is no way in hell I'm waiting that long to share her birthday. But I'm open for anything between the 8th and the 12th.

~ma for MG
I was three weeks late. I was born two days before my grandma's birthday. Her first question to my mom? "Why couldn't you have waited two more days?!" Mom was like, "DUH!"
Thanks for your concern, Cindy. It was pretty nerve wracking. We think she gave him some based on his red-rimmed cheeks and her answers to our questions. She said she gave him the "pokey" part (the dosing tip). But after talking to poison control, we figured that there was no way that he could have had a toxic dose, he probably just got a double dose for the morning. As they don't treat for it below a toxic dose, we didn't have his blood levels taken.
I figured, from what I skimmed from Natter, but I knew you posted something about your m-i-l coming so you could go to the hospital, and I just wanted to make sure. Thank goodness children metabolize it differently than we do.
We FINALLY got a two hour nap from 4-6 and I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
Oh, yay! That makes so much difference.

Go on the 8th. No special reason, just that you'll be pregnant a shorter time.
Does your OB let you take Tylenol, Cashmere? Does it help at all with the pain?
in a month or so, I'll have been there long enough to use the small amount that I have accumulated here.
My PTO kicks in soon, too, my love. We'll turn off the phones and hide from the world.
So. Tired.
baby marshmellows?
I'm thinking these are marshmallow-coated Xanax. Or pot. To be enjoyed in front of a lava lamp.
If I had the marshmellows, I would feed them to juliana and wash it down with champagne. This is just such a hard time sweetie...
I had my first pap at 15. Pre-sexual activity. But I have family history and am paranoid about making sure I get that exam annually.
Mom is off to Chicago for the funeral and I have "borrowed" her Prius while she is gone. It's like a test drive.
I am tempted to color my hair tonight because my parent's party is tomorrow night. Thing is? It'll be at night and I don't have any shocking colors here so likely it wouldn't even be noticable. Should I do it anyway?
{{juliana}} any type of ~ma you want, babe. As scarey as it all may feel right now, rest assured, you have the widest safety net in the whole world.
Burrell, I don't read Natter often, but I'm glad the scarey turned out okay for you (even if I don't know all the details.) It sounded like a world of "eek." But you survived to post about it and I'm glad the kids are alright.
Nora, I hate going to the eye doctor these days. With my eyes, it's not just dilating them anymore, it's "let's shoot you full of flourescent dye and take pictures of the inside of your eyeballs" fun. It's not painful, or not moreso than any shot, but it's always lots of "wait around for the next stage." Most days with an eye doctor appointment, I take the whole day off. And sometimes there's a vague queasiness from the dye. At least I get pretty colors in the toilet, afterwards!
Cassie, there are no colors to get? You can't dye one half red and one half green?
juliana, hang in there, bunny. eat marshmallows -- big ones
I seem to only have my summer supply of hair coloring. In summer, when my hair gets a little too faded by the sun, I just go to close to natural... In winter, sometimes a little deeper, richer color is good. Green? Never an option.
I don't know why I am obsessing about my hair color when there are so many other things to do. Obsessing about what to wear, for instance.
So many things to obsess about, so little time...
Well. That went longer than I was expecting. Just gave Bec a call, she's doing pretty well. We talked for a couple of hours about this 'n' that. She's still one of my favourite people.
Oh, I had a drink with TM!Girl last night. Still not sure if she's interested. But she did give me both her mobile and home number, and said she'd be getting off work at 7 on Monday. (No, I'm not just being clueless, the body language was all wrong during our drink together. But that might have just been because she was cold, so I'm withholding judgment.)

Obsession, by Calvin Klein, of course. Or Braying Jackass, by Chris Klein.
